Printable Flashcard Maker

Turn a word list into printable flashcards — double-sided (backs align automatically) or fold-over for printers without duplex. Free, no sign-up, no watermark. Your words never leave your browser.

Double-sided: print with “flip on long edge” — the back pages are mirrored so every back lands behind its front. Cut along the dashed lines.

How to make printable flashcards

  1. Enter one card per line: the front, a colon, then the back — like hola : hello. Vocabulary, definitions, math facts, sight words, anything.
  2. Choose a printing mode: double-sided if your printer has duplex, or cut & fold if it doesn't.
  3. Click Print / Save PDF and cut along the dashed lines.

How the double-sided alignment works

The classic problem with homemade flashcards: you print the fronts, print the backs, and nothing lines up. This generator mirrors each back page horizontally, so when your printer flips the sheet on the long edge, every back lands exactly behind its front. Print the whole document double-sided in one go — no manual sheet-flipping, no guesswork.

No duplex printer? Use fold-over cards

In cut & fold mode each card prints with the front on top and the back upside-down below it. Cut out the card, fold it in the middle, and you have a two-sided flashcard — the back reads right-side-up when you flip the card over, and a dab of glue makes it permanent. This mode is also great for self-checking: students fold the answer out of sight.

Flashcards for kids and young learners

Pick the large size (4 per page) for big, readable cards — ideal for sight words, letters, numbers and first foreign-language words. Teachers print a class set in minutes; each click regenerates instantly with any list you paste in.

Is my word list uploaded anywhere?

No. The cards are generated by JavaScript in your browser — your words never leave your device, and the page works offline once loaded.
