Most online generators work by sending what you type to a server, building the file there, and sending it back. These tools don't. The page arrives with the whole generator inside it as JavaScript, and everything after that happens on your own machine — your word list, your guest list, your pupils' names are never transmitted anywhere, because there is nothing on the other end to receive them.

This is a claim you can check rather than take on trust. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the network tab, and use any tool on this site: you will see the page load, and then nothing further. The same design has a useful side effect — once a page has loaded, it keeps working with the connection off. A worksheet generator that still runs on a school network that has dropped out is worth more than one with extra features.

Who these tools are for

Mostly teachers, who need a worksheet before tomorrow morning and cannot spend twenty minutes registering for a site to get one. The privacy point is not abstract for them either: a class list is personal data belonging to somebody else's children, and it should not be uploaded to a service in exchange for a printable seating plan.

Then anyone organising something — a club tournament, a wedding, an office gift exchange, a party — where the job is one-off, needs to end in a piece of paper, and does not justify learning any software. And households, for the handful of things that are genuinely easier settled on a printed sheet stuck to a fridge than in a group chat.

Built to be printed

Nearly everything here ends at a printer, and the tools are built backwards from that. Print stylesheets strip the interface, the ads and the navigation, so what comes out is the puzzle, the chart or the certificate and nothing else. Sheets that need one carry a name and date line; anything a teacher has to mark has an answer key on its own page.

There is no proprietary export and no watermark. "Save as PDF" in your browser's own print dialog produces a clean file you can keep, email or hand to a print shop, which is why none of these tools ask you to download an app or create an account to get your own work out of them.

How the site pays for itself

Advertising, which is why there is space for ads on the tool pages. It is a deliberate trade: ads mean the tools themselves need no account, no email address and no payment, and everyone gets the full thing immediately.

A few tools additionally offer an optional one-time Pro unlock for work features that only matter if you are doing something at volume — printing ten shuffled versions of a puzzle for a whole class, for instance. That is a single payment, never a subscription, and it never gates the core tool: what the free version does, it does without limits, permanently. If a tool is useful to you once a year, it should cost you nothing, and it doesn't.
